King Gillette Ranch, Calabasas
We had the opportunity to Design and Coordinate an event at a venue new to us, King Gillette Ranch. It was designed by Wallace Neff in the 1920s, for razor magnate King C. Gillette. Today, it’s used as the setting for tons of movie and television sets, including The Biggest Loser. It now offers an incredible setting for events of all types.
We’re on the board for Ventura County’s chapter of NACE (National Association of Catering and Events) and we love when monthly meetings introduce us to new, fun venues. We designed this Fall Event in the gorgeous courtyard at King Gillette Ranch. Take a look at the pretty photos, captured by Brandon Aquino, below.
King Gillette Ranch is a 588-acre property, so there are tons of options for use of the space for events. Check out just one of the mansions on the property, below.
The courtyard is perfect for an intimate event, so we chose this spot for our fall NACE meeting.
How gorgeous is this view? We could spend all day in this little vignette we designed with Party Pleasers.
Unique Floral Designs created these stunning floral arrangements, which we think accented the setting and decor perfectly. These purple and soft green hues are a great fall color palette.
We’re in love with these unique tables (below) as an alternative to traditional cocktail tables. How cool are these?!
D’Amores Pizza catered the event, and put together a perfect menu for any event, complete with passed appetizers, two salad options, and gourmet pizza. Seriously can’t go wrong with that!
For a fun, interactive element, DJ Sota Entertainment provided not only the tunes, but also a fun photo booth. Photo Booths have really become almost a standard for most of the events we plan and coordinate. We don’t think this trend will be fading anytime soon. Plus, how inviting is this friendly face of Jimmy, the booth attendant. You just want to go say “hi” to him, right?!
