Spanish Hills Country Club, Camarillo
I was so honored to be asked to be one of 5 featured designers for the June ABC meeting, for the Westlake/Thousand Oaks chapter, at Spanish Hills Country Club (https://spanishhillscc.com). One things that I love most abut being an Event Planner is the community! I have to brag and say that I truly believe the Event Industry is the best. I mean….we throw parties for a living! There are many local networking communities that sometimes it can be hard to keep up, but I definitely try to make it out to as many as I can. Not only is it a great way to stay on top of current trends and education, but I’ve made some really great friends and colleagues through these events as well!
The ABC (https://www.bridalassn.com) is one of my favorite networking organizations, so I was thrilled to be a part of this last meeting. For this months meeting, they decided to showcase dining tables design by 5 ABC chapter wedding planners, in lieu of a formal program. I was told that the meeting would simply be “An Evening Under the Stars”, and that we had total creative freedom with our design. For inspiration, I thought about what I enjoy most about dining al fresco, and that’s the opportunity to catch a beautiful sunset! Inspired by the gorgeous pastels in a cotton candy sunset, I incorporated iridescent glassware, rose gold stemware, a variety of pastel napkins (creating an ombre effect) on the table top. Party Pleasers Event Rental Co. (http://www.partypleasers.com) has such aside variety of decor, and had the perfect inventory for my vision.
I collaborated with the SUPER talented Heather, of Brown and Co. Designs (https://www.instagram.com/brownandcodesigns/?hl=en) to come up with a menu that incorporated this sunset theme. She created the stunning, hand painted, sunset menus. I sent her my color palette, and she incorporated all the colors, flawlessly into the design.
The florals tied it all together, featuring all the sunset color palette, perched delicately on glass vessels. Tiana at The Exotic Green Garden (www.exoticgreengarden.com) did an amazing executing my vision, beyond what I had even imagined! She also came through with a variety of floating candles, and votives, to complete the design.
I LOVE when I have the opportunity to design from my heart, and stray from the typical. Those are the times I feel most in my element.
